When people say someone has “carbon black in their veins,” they could very well be talking about Kevin Davis, owner of Cowser Tire and Service in Fort Worth, TX.
Kevin’s roots in the tire business run deep. His father worked in the industry, and Kevin was right there beside him—turning wrenches and changing tires at just five years old. Summers and afternoons after school were spent in the shop, where he not only learned the mechanics of tire service but, more importantly, how to treat people with respect and fairness.
“My dad was a great teacher, not only in the mechanics of the tire business but how to treat people right,” Davis recalls.
That foundation served him well. At just 19, Kevin started out with one service truck. Thirty-five years later, Cowser Tire and Service has grown into one of the fastest-growing commercial tire dealerships in America, now employing 100 people with a fleet of 17 service trucks. Beyond tire sales, the company has expanded into full mechanical service for commercial trucks and even operates its own retread plant.
“We like to think of ourselves as a one-stop shop,” Davis said.
Speed and Trust: Keys to Success
For trucking professionals, time is money. Cowser Tire and Service has built a reputation on speedy, reliable service that gets drivers back on the road quickly.
“People have learned that they can get in here and get back on the road in a timely manner,” Davis said. “Every minute spent in a tire shop is a minute not on the road.”
That reputation extends to product recommendations. Truckers across Fort Worth and beyond have come to trust Cowser Tire and Service not only for dependable service but also for the quality of the tires they sell and recommend.
Why Cowser Recommends Ralson Tires
Davis and his team stand behind Ralson TBR tires, a brand they know delivers consistent performance for their customers.
“The Ralson RDR55 open shoulder drive tire has been a good seller for us, and we’ve received positive customer feedback on this product from our regional trucking customers,” Davis shared.
For customers working in oil fields and construction—where sharp rocks and debris put tires to the test—Davis points to the Ralson RAC55 all-position tire. Its cut- and chip-resistant compound, along with optimized groove angles featuring stone ejectors make it a durable choice for tough conditions.
A Strong Partnership and a Bright Future
At Ralson Tire North America, we value our partnership with Kevin Davis and the entire Cowser Tire and Service team. Their commitment to service, integrity, and customer care mirrors our own values, and together, we’re helping drivers across Texas keep rolling with confidence.
Outside the shop, Davis is an avid bass fisherman who enjoys time on the lake with his family—a well-earned break from running one of the busiest commercial tire operations in the region.
And about that “carbon black” in his veins: carbon black is a fine black powder produced from the incomplete combustion of hydrocarbons. It’s added to tire rubber to increase strength, durability, and resistance to wear, while also improving heat dissipation and UV protection. In other words, it’s the backbone of what makes tires tough—and a fitting metaphor for Kevin Davis himself.
Here’s to many more years of success for Cowser Tire and Service—and many more miles on Ralson tires.
